Ok, so a lot of people have been wondering…  What is the big deal about Wealth Motivation? Wealth motivation is an essential key to success in anything you aspire to do in life.

Let’s face it, we all go through our lives aspiring to be greater than we are, but why is it that with all our goals and all our dreams, so many of us rarely make it to where we are trying to get to? We talk about all these incredible dreams but yet and still we can never seem to just, well… go for it!

That’s were Wealth Motivation comes in. Now first, please understand that when I speak of wealth I’m not just speaking from a financial point of view. Maybe a more appropriate word would be riches. When I say Wealth Motivation or riches I am speaking of being rich mentally, spiritually, and physically. This doesn’t mean that being financially rich doesn’t fit right along in there with the other three. It just means that we shouldn’t focus on the financial only. Many a rich man has died in misery.

But the point I’m trying to make is that without the necessary drive, without something to pull us along towards our dreams, without the oh so necessary motivation to push us towards that beautiful shinning that we want to reach, the dreams are in vain. This is what Wealth motivation is all about. Oddly enough, when you go for your true dream in life, it usually leads to wealth.

So ask yourself, what motivates you? What pushes you? What pulls at you? What’s the one thing that you have always dreamed about having or achieving but never had the guts to go for? Then, get rid of all the excuses and go for it! It doesn’t matter if you’re four or seventy four. It’s never too late to achieve, to find a way to make your dreams come through. Oh and when your dreams do come through, because I believe they will. Stop by and leave a comment and let me know about it, because I would love to share in your joy.

Cause-related sponsorship is a strategic positioning and marketing tool that links a company or brand to a relevant social cause or issue for mutual benefit. According to the International Events Group (IEG), spending on cause marketing has grown from virtually nothing in 1983 to an estimated .55 billion in 2009.

Nonprofits benefit from cause marketing because they get needed financial help, technical assistance and volunteers, among other things. For corporations, supporting a cause can influence consumer buying behavior and loyalty and is a way to differentiate a company or a brand by taking on a social issue.

1) Assess Your Readiness: Determine if you are -friendly. The cultures of nonprofits and corporations are vastly different. To prepare your organization to work with corporations, you may need to add people to your Board, invest in training for staff or procedures for fast-tracking decisions.

2) Understand Your Value Proposition: Determine which assets/capabilities that may be of value to corporations:

• having an excellent reputation and mission, so that the corporation enhances its creditability by virtue of affiliation

• providing recognition, endorsements or awards

•  gaining access to prospective customers of the company

• having access to programs, projects and organizational expertise

• distributing products, such as books or pamphlets for use as incentives or  giveaways

3) Know How and Why a Corporation Chooses a Cause: Consider what types of companies would be most likely to benefit from associations with your organization and respond to your value proposition. Corporations seek to address an issue that will be of particular concern to their core constituency. The more a company ponies up, the more likely they will want a proprietary stake in their investment. Frequently, corporations seek visibility though the media, so the cause needs to address a newsworthy issue capable of generating adequate coverage. When dollars come from a marketing budget, as opposed to a public or community relation, it is likely that the corporation will want the cause to help them reach specific corporate objectives such as increasing brand loyalty or sales. Other benefits companies may seek include:

• Enhance corporate/brand reputation by positioning it as a responsible, caring company/brand

• Differentiate the corporation/brand

• Enhance employee recruitment and retention

• Expand opportunities for employees to practice leadership and

• Increase access to markets

4) Pick a Partner Wisely:  Does your mission match the goals of the corporation? The relationship must be mutually beneficial. Does the corporation have a solid reputation? The relationship must generate positive impact for you as well as them. Does the corporation have a tradition of philanthropy or is this their first initiative? Look beyond the obvious benefits of money, business expertise and volunteers. Corporations can often provide introductions to other businesses, marketing outreach and in-kind services (product, services, facilities, etc.) that are free or discounted. And of course, is the timing right? Acknowledge the importance of chemistry.

Do due diligence to find out about the corporation’s goals and reputation. Review annual reports, financial statements and press clippings to ensure that the corporation is ethical and reputable.

5) Identify Critical Issues: Recognize that nonprofits tend to move slower, need to build consensus and are tighter with a dollar. Their bottom line is social return. Corporations want financial results. Meshing the two can be difficult.

6) Manage the Relationship and Expectations: Nonprofits and corporations have different cultures and don’t always “speak the same language.” Respect each other’s culture. Listening to each other, having an open and honest exchange of ideas and expectations and continually updating each other is critical. Explore what the relationship will look like, how it will run and what results it will produce. It is important to educate corporate partners that it is not always about driving sales in the short term – it is about building relationships for the long term. Get support from senior management on both sides.

7) Develop a Game Plan: Determine the scope of the relationship (paid, in-kind, volunteers, marketing outreach, introductions, etc.) and develop costs, timelines, roles and responsibilities.

8) Measure Results: Jointly establish objectives. Measure performance against those objectives by determining the performance metrics that will help the corporation demonstrate success and encourage continued commitment.

9) Develop Marketing Materials: Cover the topics of how you do business, who supports you, how you are governed and the results you’ve achieved. Be informative but don’t overload the client with details about your organization. Invite potential partners to see you in action.

10) Get a Referral: Having the door opened for you will save time and energy. Scour your networks to identify people who can introduce you to targeted companies. Your network includes your Board, staff, friends, friends of friends and volunteers. Do cold calling as a last resort.

The careers you choose can depend on your personality and to what job you are really fit for. If you dislike leading people and would rather follow directions from someone, then the job of a technical employee might just be for you. If, leading people is more to your suit, then a career in management is the perfect job for you. There are many facets to this career that you should know about. The greatest about it is that you could do it in practically any field without getting a degree course. A manager can manage a technical office or a group of engineers without really much knowledge of the work they are doing. While engineers and architects need to obtain degrees before working, a manager need not get this too to manage them. Managers can get into various fields, from managing athletes, salesladies, to NASA scientists, given the right push and contacts. All you have to invest on is in your ability to lead and motivate people. If you can and you already have the experience in people, then this can really be the right career path for you.

It is quite rare, however for one to start as manager immediately. This job entails the worker to start below and move up the ladder after several months and years, depending on your work environment. An excellent way to start is by starting out in a job you like. Inform and show signs to your employer that you are also interested in a managing position, and spend the next months proving to them that you can be a good manager. Chances are you’ll get promoted to a managerial position after a certain amount of time. Then try holding the career and earn a few awards here and there for a few years to prove to the company that you have staying power. This can be your jump-off point to applying for management positions in other corporations without starting from the ground up, and the best method there is to starting a career in management.

However, if early on you realize that the field of management really is for you then get a degree in one. Many colleges and universities offer a degree related to the kind of skills you will use as a manager. A degree in Administration, for example, equips you with useful skills in your management career. From there, they should be able to point you to a major that will best suit your career goals and get the entire essential skills in managing groups.

Many new Small Businesses fail during the early years and one of the reasons attributed for the failure is their inability to beat the competition.

To be successful in your business and to be acknowledged as a successful small business entrepreneur, you have to adopt certain strategies that will enable you to outsmart your competitors and beat them.

1. Go Shopping Yourself:

If you are a manufacturer of certain products, you should go shopping yourself at least once a fortnight. By doing this you will be able to see how and where these products are being displayed, the price at which your competitors are selling their products and the type of packaging used. In fact purchasing of your competitors products on regular basis, testing them and comparing them with your products will be a very useful and productive exercise.

2. Become a member of a Professional Association:

As an entrepreneur it is very important that you become a member of a professional association related to your business or industry. Never, ever think that you can operate in a vacuum and succeed. By regularly attending their meetings, you will get the opportunity of meeting like minded people and your competitors too. Opportunities for gathering vital information and secrets abound in such meetings. Be watchful, grab them and implement them in your small business.

3. Gather Information about Your Competition:

You must have a plan whereby either you or one of your employees should order your competitors’ broachers, catalogues and price lists. This will give you very vital and useful information as to how these products are priced, advertised and promoted. Keeping this constant tab on your competitors will enable you to discover the reasons why some are more successful than you. This ongoing study will help you make very calculated changes in your price structure, marketing and advertising strategies.

4. Attend Trade Shows and Seminars:

Trade shows are places where you as a small business entrepreneur can make useful contacts with other entrepreneurs in your own field of activity and other allied fields as well. Viewing new developments, technologies and marketing methods will inspire and motivate you to develop your own business in those lines.

Attending seminars can be very useful, educative and a place to make useful contacts. These trade shows and seminars can open up new windows of opportunities for you.

5. Read Trade Magazines and Newsletters:

Subscribe to your industry or business trade magazine or newsletter. You will come across many things that you are not aware of, in manufacturing, advertising and marketing. These tips and tricks will help you fine tune some of your present strategies.

6. Address Meetings and Focus Groups:

Never miss an opportunity to address meetings related to your industry or business. It will also be wise to organize Focus Groups where you can obtain the views of the members regarding your products. The feedback thus obtained will help you make changes in your products and the marketability of your products.

7. Distribute Free Gifts, Vouchers and Coupons:

The whole world loves free gifts. Even millionaires love anything given free. You should take full advantage of this and promote your small business by offering free gifts. Whenever there are community gatherings, focus group meetings and other functions, try and distribute free gifts, discounted coupons and vouchers. You should ensure that you have your website URL, address and phone numbers embedded in all your items.

8. Have a Professional looking Website.

A well designed professional looking website is absolutely essential. By providing all the information about your business, products and services, it will add credibility to your small business.

Most women entrepreneurs would love to double their income, but when they think about going from where they are now to their new goal they either think too small, panic or go blank.

It’s as if the gap between their current reality and their goal number is just too big of a leap to make all in one jump. These women entrepreneurs quickly become discouraged, and time goes by without seeing any real change in how much they’re making.

I, too, used to struggle with this until I created a simple solution that has resulted in helping nearly triple my income into the high six-figures in just one year (and be on track to reach seven-figures this year).

The small business marketing system I created is called your “Bold Money Goal.” The concept is simple and has worked for hundreds of women entrepreneurs who happily see their monthly income skyrocket!

Here are four marketing strategies you can use right now to leverage this powerful tool:

Small Business Marketing Strategy #1: Choose a short time frame.
Short time frames give you focus and create momentum. Plus, they’re fun and exciting! I prefer a 30 – 90 day Bold Money Goal time frame to get you to stretch your thinking and spark your creativity as to how you’re going to reach your Bold Money Goal. Short time frames are also powerful because they you to take big, measurable action rather than procrastinating because your small business marketing goal seems fuzzy or out of reach.

Small Business Marketing Strategy #2: Pick the right new amount to bring in.
Aim too low and you’re unlikely to make any significant changes or progress with your woman-owned business. But aim too high and the amount can feel so far out of reach that it doesn’t feel “real”. I recommend that women entrepreneurs choose an amount they want to make that is anywhere from 40 – 50 percent more than they currently bring in.

Small Business Marketing Strategy #3: Go for the low-hanging fruit.
You don’t have to suddenly add entirely new services or products to your woman-owned business to reach your Bold Money Goal. In fact, I advise to look for the low-hanging fruit that’s just waiting for you to pluck it off of the ‘Money Tree’.

Low-hanging fruit are typically services and products you already have that can be dusted off, re-launched, re-titled or expanded. Try also offering a teleseminar, , a group or a private service focused on a single topic with which your clients commonly struggle. One of my Platinum clients did this and within a few short days had nearly 400 people signed up for one teleseminar!

Small Business Marketing Strategy #4: Be open to new approaches for achieving your goal.
The power of the Bold Money Goal isn’t just to bring in the bucks – although that IS important! It’s to help you make a big leap forward in expanding what’s possible for you and your woman-owned business. Be open to doing something in a new way, a bigger way and certainly, in a bolder way so that the rewards of achieving your Bold Money Goal continue to grow.

Creating and achieving a Bold Money Goal every 30 – 90 days will help you “chunk down” your ideal income in a way that will help you reach it faster and easier than you’ve every thought possible!
